Another Best Week Ever!!

Our Path to Lunch
I know that I say this a lot but  this week was so amazing. I think that every week gets better and better because we are doing more and more to help more of Heavenly Fathers Children. We are placing our trust in the Lord  and increasing our goals. It is amazing as we put our trust in the Lord and make our goals, we are accomplishing them.

Last Monday I had a different kind of P-day and while my companion decided to take a nap I decided to study. I really did want to learn more about humility. I have a lot of trust in the Lord and all that I am doing here is for Him but I feel like we can all become better and learn more so that is what I did. Suprisingly I have felt a huge change in myself as well this week and that has brought even more miracles to the work that we are doing.

Us with our Sisters
That night we met with Byron and he received a priesthood blessing. We also made a plan with him so he could overcome his temptations and be baptized. It was amazing and he is doing so well. I can tell that he feels  everyone is there for him.

Tuesday I wasnt feeling very good but just for that day. In one of our lessons though I just came out and boldly asked,  "Are you going to read the Book ( Book of Mormon) or not". They thought and then decided they really wanted to know so all the other things they were saying weren't really that important. If you know the Book of Mormon is true then everything else falls into place.

Wednesday I realized that once again I am not to far from the end of my mission. If you want to know why, I thought that, then you should look at my belongings. Everything I have is falling apart and breaking. I fix them with superglue but at one point I was just waiting for something else to break as well. It was pretty funny.  A man also thought that my companion and I were from Europe that was a first.

Paches
Thursday is a day of planning here in the mission. I really opened up to my companion more than I have and with that she opened up to me more as well. We are a great team and work hard but there are always things we can get better at. I told her as well that if I do something she doesnt like, if she feels I am not listening, if I do something to make her sad etc to tell me. This is so important to recognize your faults and to change to become better. not only will i help in marriage but also in all aspects of life. Everyone needs to feel important and loved.

Saturday there were a lot of activities in the church along with  a baptism. It was so amazing because there were a ton of members there with a lot of food. I really love to eat and see people come unto Christ. Our investigator that is getting baptized next week was also there and he made many more friends as well.

Then Sunday we went to church and had divisions later in the day. We found 10 new investigators and 3 new familes that seem really promissing. Sunday is a great day for missionary work and I love when the members go out with us. Well,  have a great week. I love you all so much.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!!

Last Monday I spent my  time trying to figure out what classes I would take in the Fall. Believe it or not I only have a few months left in the mission which for me is really sad. Last week it was weird to think about what I would be doing when I get home but then I went right to work because I don't like to think about it too much. I am excited to be with family and friends again but that will come when it does. for now I am serving the Lord.

Good Food for St. Patrick's Day
This week I have realized how important it is to always be in our area working really hard. One day this week we had to leave and when we came back we realized that Satan was working really hard there while we were gone. There were a lot more troubles to have the baptism that was the same day and also one of the baptisms we had planned for the next week fell through because of a Word of Wisdom problem that he had been so good about.

One good thing that came from that is that our investigator knows how much we really do care for him and want to help him. Not only us however but the members as well. He came to church on Sunday upset about what happened but when we talked to him about it he learned even more about the atonement of Christ and more of what he can do to not only resist that temptation but all of them.

There have been serveral miracles in finding people this week as well. One of them was as we were walking home. It was night time and no buses were passing by. There was this 16 year old girl walking behind us. We started talking to her and found out that she has been to church before and wants to get baptized but her dad wouldn't let her. We think that we can help with that because we are sisters and the dad might not have been super sure about the elders before. As well,  we found another family yesterday that has been going to church before and moved to our area. They have an Ensign subscription, watch general conference and were really involved in their last Ward. It is funny because things like that happen in our area all the time.

Baptism

The baptism we had this week was from another part family. All of her family are members but something happened so that she couldnt be baptized. She is so cute though. I know that she will be a great example to her sisters and help them as well. Her and her sister, as we were walking to the baptism told us about how they want to be missionaries as well when they are older. I really hope they are able to.

Something that I have really learned about on my mission is the importance of marriage in our lives. I see the side effects of people living together and not being married everyday. People live with one another without really trusting the other enough to get married. Really a lack of trust and respect for the other person is the reasons I have seen for why people do not get married or just live together. I have decided that I will have something better than that. Someone that will trust me completely and will respect me as well. That is what I want for others. It is in those relationships that we will grow the most and have the most joy.

Cool Fog
Sorry about that but it is just a sad thing I see everyday. I know that we can change though and become better. I for example need to become a lot more humble. I can be stubborn in the way that I want to do things but that is not how it should be. With that I am grateful to have this time NOW to change and become who my Heavenly Father wants me to be. Have a great week

Volcano Erupting and Another Great Week

My new zone is one of the strangest I have been in. Last p/day we hung out with this one girl Mafer who drove us around in her car. It was a lot of fun to go and explore and have a little bit more time than usual because we didn't have to take a bus. It was also fun to be with other missionaries and go to the mall. We also went to her house and I was able to cook on a real stove. Something I really loved was making Hummus. I really like to cook and miss it.  My companion also likes it when I cook or experiment with food here in Guate.

Working Hard

 A Cool Bread I ate

Tuesday we had a lesson where I learned something very important. Sometimes you just can't help people. If you try the spirit leaves. The next time though I know to leave right away and not try to help them. It wasn't so bad but I felt bad for staying for the 30 minutes we did. That day we did see a miracle. One of the youth we are teaching thought she wouldn't be able to be baptized because of her parents but then she found out that she could. She was so happy and was glowing.

I am also grateful for the gospel and the knowledge I have that families are eternal.  This week we shared about eternal families a lot. With one family it was so cute as the wife put her hand on her husbands knee and looked at him. You could tell that see really wants that in her family. With this same family it was so amazing because they had a huge container of coffee and sold it to follow the word of wisdom.
We got a Microwave.  I haven't seen one of these in over a Year.

New Fridge

Later that week we found out that this family will have to leave because they don't have any money or even food for their kids. It is so sad when that happens. The mom was sobbing into our chest because she didn't want to. It was so sad.  The really love us, we love them a lot as well. How could we help them? It was their pastor that got them the job super far away because he doesn't like that we are meeting with them. They felt bad though and on Sunday told us they wouldn't leave. The spirit told them they shouldn't. It was the best news I had ever heard. We were all so happy together.
This week we also had a baptism of a girl named Yesenia. She is so amazing and has wanted to be baptized for a long time. I am so glad that she was able to make that step in her life.

Yesterday was really amazing. We had a stake conference and there were a lot of missionaries from the Temple, Nortes and our Mission Presidents there. We are in the first stake in Guate and it is amazing. The Conference was really great. There was also a volcano that erupted but the wind is blowing the other direction so the smoke isn't toward us.

Also I am really happy because I have been reaching the goals we set every week it feels so good but makes the time pass too fast. Have a great week .
